If you want to do something, then you do it. If you don't want to do something, don't just do it because your friends are doing it, or because all the popular kids are doing it.

If you tell kids they can't have something, that's what they want.

Kids are a great analogy. You want your kids to grow up, and you don't want your kids to grow up. You want your kids to become independent of you, but it's also a parent's worst nightmare: That they won't need you. It's like the real tragedy of parenting.

Deep down, everybody wants to do what they want to be doing. They just feel that they can't.

If parents don't like some of the stuff I do then they shouldn't let their kids watch me.
