There are too many guns in the hands of people that shouldn't have guns. There is too much gun violence in America.

I do believe that we should keep guns out of the hands of terrorists, would-be terrorists, and a lot of other people.

Obviously, we think it's important to make sure that firearms do not get in the hands of people who are criminals, convicted felons or adjudicated as mentally ill.

We are not saying that every idiot out there should own a gun - and there should be better background checks on guns. Not everybody should have the right.

I do not believe in people owning guns. Guns should be owned only by the police and military. I am going to do everything I can to disarm this state.

If you take guns away from legal gun owners, then the only people who would have guns would be the bad guys. Even a pacifist would get violent if someone were trying to kill him or her. You would fight for your life, whatever your beliefs.
