As far as I'm concerned, being any gender is a drag.

Once women are not excluded, I don't think any of us will give a damn what pronouns are used. That wasn't the point.

All the English speakers, or almost all, have difficulties with the gender of words.

It would be hypocritical of me to use being female in some ways, and diss being female in other ways. It's part of the programme.

Today, it's about gender equality, not neutrality. Anyone who doesn't agree would be a bit of an idiot.

If we do no mean that God is male when we use masculine pronouns and imagery, then why should there be any objections to using female imagery and pronouns as well?

It used to be that you had to make female TV characters perfect so no one would be offended by your 'portrayal' of women. Even when I started out on 'The Office' eight years ago, we could write our male characters funny and flawed, but not the women. And now, thankfully, it's completely different.

I never felt oppressed because of my gender. When I'm writing a poem or drawing, I'm not a female; I'm an artist.
