I think that 'Degrassi' really challenged its actors. I was on it for seven years, and it was one of my first jobs. I can't even watch the early episodes - they're so embarrassing! But I really do think I grew as an actor and learned a lot over the seven years.

In 'Billy Elliot,' there were, like, 24 kids, so that was crazy. In 'Annie,' there's nine of us; we're all great friends, and we hang out all the time. We really are just sisters.

I love Billy Wilder, and I love the way that his films can be very touching and very moving and very romantic, and at the same time there's always a little cynical undertone, there's always something that undercuts things.
