I've been DJing mostly, and most DJs end up producing. That's just me.

I've been a DJ since I was about 13, and I started out as a hip-hop DJ. So I was always playing records that would just get people going. I was just doing parties and high school dances and whatever, and then, progressively, I started making my own music, writing little songs here and there, but it was never anything crazy.

When I don't have a good time making music, I think of quitting a lot. I really do. I can create something else. I'll do something else.

When I make records, I never listen to stuff after it's done. Ever.

You know, when I put out records that may not work or connect with the audience, it's because I'm pushing myself as an artist creatively, because I'm just bored doing what everyone wants me to do.

I have an intense desire to constantly make music, and I don't feel that way about anything else.

I still enjoy doing music. I'm not going to stop doing it, and doing it the way that I feel it should be done.

When I'm doing just music all the time, it can get really overwhelming. It's always challenging to switch it up a bit. And just because you're a musician, it doesn't mean that music is your only creative outlet.

I've been DJing a little bit, so you get used to the fact that music sounds brilliant when it's loud.
