I'm sure some people have an absolute grasp of where they are in their careers. I just don't think about it that much.

There is more to life than a job. I didn't ever want to look back and point to a bookshelf of videotapes and say, 'That's been my life.' It's so much easier to write a resume than it is to craft a spirit.

I know most people don't like their jobs very much and don't get a lot of personal satisfaction from their jobs. That's something that I really do get a lot of.

Some people can be choosy because they're ultratalented or lucky or whatever, but yeah, there are certain things that might not be the greatest thing on my resume. But I don't sit back and go, 'Gosh, I wish I didn't do that.' It's all part of the growth of a career, whether you're an entertainer or a librarian.

My resume is lean enough that I don't have the added baggage that is not necessary to be able to be successful in government.

There is not a single one of us with a job that is not completely reliant in some way shape or form on others.

I'm probably satisfied with my career 80 percent of the time.
