There's not much about me that readers don't know because I am equal parts open and boring. If there is one thing readers do know about me, it's that I am very un-domestic.

Sometimes I don't like the books that I'm reading.

When I write a book, I write a book for myself; the reaction is up to the reader. It's not my business whether people like or dislike it.

I don't care what people are saying about me, good or bad, in blogs or on Twitter or in the media. There will always be people who don't like you and don't like your books. Ignore them.

I work really hard at these books, and when colleagues write nasty reviews of them, I take it very personally.

I don't like books, they're all fact, no heart.
