I try to do my best every game to help the pitchers and help my team win. That's it.

You have to stay fresh and blank in your mind when you go out to bat. You complicate things, and you're gone.

Are you tall? Are you strong? How big are your hands? You must be honest with yourself or you will end up using the wrong bat.

The hits and the misses. I just want to keep the at-bats solid.

Just because you're down to your last strike, you're not out yet. You can always do more. You'll always have more at-bats to take. That's true in baseball, in rescuing animals, and in life, generally.

I'm going to do my best to help the team play hard and help the team win... I'm just coming to play baseball.

You obviously want the results but you must do your job in every at-bat and deal with what every situation dictates.

My pitching philosophy is simple - keep the ball way from the bat.
