I'm in the lucky position financially where I don't have to do things I don't want to do.

When I started acting, I thought if I got one or two jobs a year I'd be lucky. So yeah, my career has gone so much farther than I ever suspected it would, and as such I feel lucky for everything I get. I feel thankful and grateful.

I worked for a charity for a while, but... well, I started acting while I was in high school. I kind of just got lucky enough to live at my parents' house until I was actually making enough money to be somebody's roommate.

I was always the frugal kid growing up because I was saving for college. Or I was always that kid that was like, 'I'm going to save my babysitting money so I can eat an expensive dinner when I go to Europe.'

I've lived so frugally for so long. I have to have that financial security or the world feels out of control for me.

I'm really lucky because I found myself in a position where I can do whatever I want to do. I can make records, produce records, make movies, or I can do nothing. I'm not a slave to the dollar.

Money makes your life easier. If you're lucky to have it, you're lucky.

I am very lucky in that if I don't get a job for six months or a year, I've got other things I can do and am fit enough to still do physical work.
