In New York, there are a lot of plays to see, and I try to see as many as I can.

Broadway is a very different kind of place. It's kind of like Nashville in that there's a certain amount of people that are involved, and those people are what run it.

The Broadway audiences are very vocal and seem very engaged. For certain shows, especially with a show like 'The Heiress,' the audience's reactions sound like 'The Jerry Springer Show' sometimes. That seems to be a very New York thing. Oh, there's also the entrance round of applause here, which we don't get too much in London.

Every person on the streets of New York is a type. The city is one big theater where everyone is on display.

When I got to Broadway, I conducted five Broadway shows.

I don't go to that many Broadway shows, so I can't really say anything.

My first Broadway show wasn't until I was a freshman in high school. It was my first trip to New York. I came with a group of theatre kids, and we saw four shows. The very first one was 'Contact.'

I'd love to do something on Broadway. I'd love to spend some time in New York.
