Republicans let this happen over and over, and there is never anyone to stick up for them. They spend too much time defending themselves.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
You can't defend the indefensible - anything you say sounds self-serving and hypocritical.
The Republican movement have not behaved properly over the years. They have not themselves implemented the Agreement. If they had implemented the Agreement then they would have disarmed completely in May 2000, that is what they undertook to do, that is what they failed to do.
Everyone has different ways of defending themselves.
It's time for an end to the Republican-on-Republican violence.
Republicans spend too much time on defense. We have to be on offense. We have to point out the truth. President Obama stole seven hundred million dollars from Medicare. Republicans want to preserve Medicare. Obamacare robs from Medicare.
If Republicans are going in the wrong direction, I am still willing to stand up against them.
If Republicans want to be seen as more compassionate, they should continue to stand proudly for the sanctify of life and marriage. And they should do so without apologizing.
Hopefully, at some point, people will at least credit the Republicans with carrying out their oversight responsibilities and with pursuing a principled course of action even in the face of everyone's short-attention spans.
Everyone is equal. Everyone has a place. No one is written off, because there is worth and goodness in every life... That is the Republican ideal. And if we won't defend it, who will?
It's easy to keep issuing blame to Republicans or the president.
