I don't pay attention to stats or anything like that. I just pay attention to how I play and the intensity that I play with.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
In the past, TSR and now Wizards of the Coast have asked me to do game stats for my characters, and I'm never comfortable doing that. It's all relative after all.
For me, sometimes it's more important to perform well in training and know that I am improving rather than scoring in a game. It's doing the hard work, day in, day out.
Obviously, stats are important tools, but I think there's something behind those things; somewhere along the way, you've got to try to look inside someone.
I never keep a scorecard or the batting averages. I hate statistics. What I got to know, I keep in my head.
I just think in order for someone to understand my game, they have to watch me more than once, because I'm not going to do anything that's extra flashy or freakishly athletic.
We've got to use every piece of data and piece of information, and hopefully that will help us be accurate with our player evaluation. For us, that's our life blood.
If I get noticed for my individual performance, that's what happens. Other than that, I'm just trying to win the game.
If we just focus on stats, we're gonna eventually not have them.
I think my game measures up pretty well to myself.
I look at myself, and how much I've gotten just because I play a sport well.
