Now is the time for all Alaskans to come together and reach out with our core message of taking power from the federal government and bringing it back home to the people.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
If there is one belief that unifies most Alaskans - our true north - it is less government and more freedom. We don't want the government in our pockets or our bedrooms; we certainly don't need it in our families.
But again, you know, the views that we've expressed are transferring power back from the federal government to the states, giving Alaska an incredible opportunity to expand its economy, especially at a time when our federal government is coming close to bankruptcy. So that is a broad-based appeal. It's not an extreme view.
This is the time to pull together as a Nation, as different people from all over the States with different perspectives and different social statuses and different income brackets, to unify into one and help those on the ground who need our help the most.
What is good for Alaska is good for the country. Transferring power from the federal government to the states provides opportunity to all states, not just Alaska.
Let's not get caught up in the D.C. trap of Democrats versus Republicans. When you're in Alaska it's about what's important for Alaska.
There's a lot of people around Alaska now who are actually running the place who claim to just have gone there for the summer once 30 years ago. And that seems to be what happens.
I think we should drill up in Alaska.
We've been helping you out in Alaska in considerable ways, and you're walking away from the responsibility, and we're not going to allow that.
I missed that question on Alaska. I hear they want to make it a state now.
I will be sent back to Washington, D.C., with the grace of God and all the Alaskan voters out there because all Alaskans have asked me to go back and continue my service.
