The movies I like to make are very rich and full of passion. Some people see me as an action director, but action is not the only thing in my movies. I always like to show human nature - something deep inside the heart.

I really like directors who give you a certain amount of autonomy because I think a lot about my characters and I think a lot about scenes and choices.

The slasher film is such a neat, self-contained genre.

Sometimes, the smaller roles in movies can be the most interesting. If you only take the stance that you'll only play central characters in movies, you'll find yourself not being able to indulge in that morally grey terrain that makes support characters so rich and interesting.

I guess you could say I'm a model slash hotelier slash actor slash screenwriter.

You might see some of the movies that I'm in where there are shades of drama or whatever, but for the most part, I don't get offered serious roles.
