That's what so sad about a lot of modern music, in my opinion, so many young bands never stay around long enough to fulfill their ultimate promise. They only get halfway there or a quarter of the way there.

Any band that is out there chasing it is doing more destruction to music then someone who is out there playing what they truly feel.

There are so many good, young bands out there who aren't getting the attention they deserve.

I know that starting out as a young band, it's really easy to get lost with bands that sound the same or with the plethora of music that's out there.

We're all continuing to grow up and get better as musicians, and the chemistry as a band continues to deepen.

It's hard to say when the life of a band starts and stops... but playing music together is an act of trust. When that's broken, it's impossible to continue.

And I look forward to the time when I can become more indulgent with my songwriting. But this band is a family, and it's a process that we have to grow with together.

Bands are like people. They're born and then they die.

I've created several musical trends, really. That's not because I'm so far out and fabulous. It's because most bands have no ideas of their own. They're so desperate they'll grab at any old straw.

When you keep the caliber of musicians very high in the band, people are going to come and go. Some of them will be people who have to try various things, it's natural.
