When I was younger I was obsessed with 'Star 80,' and it's just a great movie - I think I saw it three times in the theater.

'Awake' was just the most beautiful show. For most of the shooting, we didn't know if they were going to air. You never knew. We were just trying to make it the best it could.

I was a massive fan of 'Twin Peaks.' Massive. I don't know how any of us grew up in this age of television and weren't astounded, and saying that, I'm still shocked that that was on network television.

'Star Trek' was a big thing for me. I kind of grew up with that. And 'Twilight Zone' is one of my all-time favorite shows. In fact me and Sam Witwer from 'Being Human' sit down and have marathons to get our little 'Twilight Zone' fix.

I know that some people think differently about pilots, but I really enjoyed shooting 'Awakening'.

The films that I really liked and the ones that really blew my mind when I was younger were independent films. They're like great records to me.
