Entertainment is in art like color in pictures.

We try to connect with the audience as much as we can. We feel the energy from the audience, and it gives us so much joy and inspiration.

You've got to honor your relationship with your audience - that they sit down because they want to be entertained. And that doesn't mean you can't provoke them and antagonize them and challenge them in the course of the entertainment as long as you keep the entertainment part of the equation alive.

Each audience is different.

You lose your energy, you lose that excitement and it gets the audience up.

I love to entertain an audience.

Music is a performance and needs the audience.

You instinctively discover how to entertain an audience.

As a filmmaker, I believe in trying to make movies that invite the audience to be part of the film; in other words, there are some films where I'm just a spectator and am simply observing from the front seat. What I try to do is draw the audience into the film and have them participate in what's happening onscreen.
