Oddly enough, I'm not religious but I'm also very fond of St Peter's in Rome. When I'm there, I always know there's a good meal not far away.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
Rome is possibly my favorite city in the world. I have such fond memories there - most of them food related.
If I'm in Rome for only 48 hours, I would consider it a sin against God to not eat cacio e pepe, the most uniquely Roman of pastas, in some crummy little joint where Romans eat. I'd much rather do that than go to the Vatican. That's Rome to me.
I like visiting people's homes on Saint Joseph's Day, when people set up altars, serve food as a tribute to the saint, and invite the public - I enjoy that much more than Mardi Gras.
My visit this autumn is an opportunity to continue that rich tradition of visits between Canterbury and Rome.
I'm very impressed by St. Patrick's. Another deity to me is definitely Saks Fifth Avenue. Someone told me that when they go to Vermont, they feel like they're home. I'm that way at Saks.
My family is very traditional, Catholic.
When I go to Rome, I fast on Saturday, but in Milan I do not. Do you also follow the custom of whatever church you attend, if you do not want to give or receive scandal.
I go to St. Matthews in Pacific Palisades, an Episcopal Church.
I've always had very catholic tastes.
I was raised Catholic in the Midwest, so I can't enjoy anything.
