On days when I do not work, I am working on my image.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
When I'm working, I'm working and I'm focused on that day's work.
I'm always building images. Even when I go out and put a look together, it's in my head the whole day, like, how I'm going to create this whole story. But I'm never satisfied; it's always a work in progress no matter what. Every day is working.
I write books, I write for comic books, I give lectures... I live. And when the opportunity comes to do a picture, I do a picture.
I don't try to project any image at all, other than the person that I am.
There were days that I worked all the time, without a layoff, or a rest, finishing one picture and reporting for another sometimes on the same day.
I do not want to work to correspond to an image.
In my work, as a writer, I only photograph, in words, what I see.
I tend to notice work.
Even at home, I don't have pictures on the wall of jobs I've done.
My process of working is that I don't create a picture, I find it.
