As I got farther and farther along in the series I did less and less preparation. I didn't use outlines or sketches. I just had a vague idea of what I wanted to tell and then the dialogue just came to me as I was inking the page.

I rewrote it and I took all your notes. Read it again, that kind of persistence paid off.

I read less of everything now. With only fond memories of others' work, it will be interesting to give my own journal writing a try now.

When I decided to take writing seriously, I did a lot of reading and analyzing of the books I liked, and came up with what I thought were pretty sound plotting and structure basics.

All I've ever really done is page 3 in The Sun, and not every man reads that.

I didn't write the book to sell the book, but to tell my experiences.

I would be far more critical than any reviewer could be of my own work. So I simply don't read them.

I basically did all the library research for this book on Google, and it not only saved me enormous amounts of time but actually gave me a much richer offering of research in a shorter time.
