I'm always doing something musically - when I'm working or when I'm off.

Whenever I'm on tour and I'm in my hotel room and I'm writing and playing my guitar, I go in the bathroom and I record whatever I'm writing in there. It's just what I love to do.

I write songs. Then, I record them. And, later, maybe I perform them on stage. That's what I do. That's my job. Simple.

I don't take breaks, man. In the past, I used to spend my free time getting in trouble, and now I spend it working on my music. If I'm not playing drums with my cover band, Chevy Metal, I'm working on songs for myself.

For the most part, I like to record music as I write it.

I love making music. That's what I love to do. So I don't feel like there's any need to take a break unless I want to.

When I feel like every day when I get up I'm writing songs, that's the time to make a record.

I am very busy and don't have a lot of down time, but I write my best songs in those situations. I enjoy my life the most when I have a bunch of things going on at the same time.

I sit and write songs alone and then get together with people to help me flesh it out into a recording.
