It feels amazing to be a role model for people with and without disabilities.

We're building on an international network with many others for the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. There are so many things we can do to carry forward policies.

I am on the International Board of Best Buddies, and I am also working with Special Olympics, and with The Arc to help people with disabilities become more independent and more included in their communities.

I'm very grateful that President Obama has lifted the restrictions on federal funding for embryonic stem cell research.

I pledge to you today that as president, in my first budget, I will introduce the largest increase in special education ever.

I was slightly brain damaged at birth, and I want people like me to see that they shouldn't let a disability get in the way. I want to raise awareness - I want to turn my disability into ability.
