I remember the first pangs of stress arriving at the end of school. Once I graduated I had to get a full-time job, worry about health insurance, saving money, paying rent - things I'd never thought about before.

For me, having the opportunity to go to college was very important. To miss out on an education is a loss.

When I was in first grade, some psychologist told my mom if I didn't go to graduate school, she basically failed as a parent, because I had the aptitude to do it. Which is so dumb. Huge pressure!

I left school at 15 feeling fairly useless and not really up to scratch in my education. And I still suffer sometimes from that lack of education.

I loved being away from school. I didn't really fancy school that much when I was little; it wasn't until I was in third or fourth grade that I really settled down at school and I was much happier at home with my mum and she was very creative and sort of fostered all my interests.

And I finished college because I thought how much it would upset my parents if I didn't.

I hardly ever missed school, and I always got my work in on time. I was a good student and always got top grades.
