Photographing friends means that there's a spontaneity to the images. I have a lot of love for my friends and family, and I love taking cool pictures of them.

Get a hobby. Maintain your friendships. Hang out with other people.

We don't want to own people's photos. We want to help them communicate with friends in whatever way makes them happiest.

There are some people who become best friends with everyone they photograph. There are people that I really like and admire and respect, but in a way I think it's better to keep a distance. I think you get better pictures of people that you don't know very well.

I'm even embarrassed at times when my friends come upon my pictures.

I have the same friends I've had for years and the same family. Unless you love rock n' roll and Hollywood parties and having your photo taken, I don't think necessarily things need to change too much.

Choose your friends wisely, and also choose friends that you can trust.
