I love the characters I've had the opportunity to play.

So much of what I do... is coming up with new characters and trying to invent voices for them, and to have people fully fleshed out in my head and to know who can say what in the scene and who these characters are... I love it.

I've made the transition from star to character actor and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

I have been working up until recently with Neil Simon, who has been adapting the character to me.

I'm so excited about 'Shattered;' it's something I've really enjoyed working in, and it's very different from anything I've done before. I've always been a character actor and done a lot of support work. I've never really been the lead actor, so I'll try and use what I've learned along the way from the other projects.

I don't want to get pigeon-holed into a certain kind of character. I love action roles and the hero, but I want to keep trying something new.

I feel really proud of my work on 'Sullivan & Son.' It's a really different character for me. I was excited to play this really tough, sweet smart, quirky girl because that's who I am at my core, but that's never who I was playing. The show is like my pride and joy.

I had wanted to be a regular character on a series for a while. 'The Brady Bunch' was an answer to a prayer.

I am like my characters - sometimes even the female ones.
