I don't want to put any pressure on the music; it's my hobby and my release - a thing that I love.

The pressure is all self-imposed, and it's to live up to the expectations of people who are going to shell out their hard-earned cash to listen to the music. It's actually more than that, though. I wouldn't want to make a record that didn't live up to my expectations.

When you have a reputation for making not only good songs but great albums, that in itself creates added artistic pressure. But, at the end of the day, I guess that pressure is something I welcome.

The truth is I want to make music that people enjoy.

Coming where I'm coming from, really, my family name isn't a pressure because, you know, music is not like sports, where you can go and do a hundred reps in a gym and come out and be all buffed up. Music is an expression of what's inside of you. And that's how I make music.

It's very demanding to make up your own music.

No one told me I had to make something that would sell, but I personally want everyone to like my music.

I don't do much press. I don't like to talk about my music too much before I do it.
