I don't live in Hollywood. I don't have celebrities as friends. I like them, but I don't pal around with them. I just live in the Midwest, a real normal world.

I'm not in the business of trying to be a celebrity. I like entertaining and being in movies. I like when people leave a movie and talk about it with friends. My biggest struggle is the press... its an odd thing and something I've had to learn a lot about.

I honestly have no interest in celebrity whatsoever. If anything, I always cringe at it because it takes away from what I am, which is an actor who wants to be better and do better things.

I live a fantastic life; I have fantastic friends - I stay out of the Hollywood stuff as much as I can because it's so much fun that you don't want to go down that path; you just want to work.

I just try not to subscribe to the ways of celebrity. I'm not a celebrity, I'm a working actor. A lot of the events - the parties and the premieres that people go to to get noticed - I'm just not into. I'll hang out with my friends, go see punk shows, read at home. At the same time, I have a production company, which is a lot of work.

I'm not so Hollywood; I live in New York, so it's very normal. I don't have many friends in the industry. My friends come from all sorts of different backgrounds and careers.

I honestly don't have a lot of friends that are actors. Most of my friends I've known since sixth grade and are out of the industry. It gives me a sense of reality rather than surrounding myself with a bunch of actors.

I'm not a celebrity. I'm intentionally and defiantly not a celebrity. I don't have any interest in it. I don't have any talent for it. I keep my personal life out of my public life as cleanly as I can.

Make sure your desire to do what you're aspiring to do is deeper than just fame and being a celebrity.

I'm a very private person, a very bookish person. The social world of Hollywood I know nothing about because I choose not to take part.
