You know, I consistently change in my own life so the roles I'm suitable for also change, and that's a really nice thing about this profession.

In my 39 years in the military, I have learned that you are not a profession just because you say you are. You have to earn it and re-earn it and re-evaluate it from time to time.

I see myself as someone who makes things. Definitions have never done anything but constrain.

What drives me is I love my profession. I love to do it.

Don't even think of acting as a profession unless not doing it would cause you to sicken and waste away.
