Everybody knows that I am not usually patient enough to actually sit down and watch one of my own films from the beginning to the end - I never do.
Sentiment: NEGATIVE
I don't have a lot of patience for movies that aren't cleanly told.
Usually, I don't want to sit down and listen to the director gas on about his movie. I just can't actually imagine myself sitting down and having that much to say.
Maybe sometimes I have been wrong with some movies. Anyway, I try to do my best.
I generally don't walk out of films. If I start a book, and I don't love it by page 100, I will stop reading because it's just too much of a time commitment. But you never know with a movie what's going to turn around.
As most actors/actresses, I don't like to watch my own movies, either, and I never look at the dailys while filming.
There's some movies I watch, they're kind of like my anti-anxiety pill, my anti-depressant pill. I watch them at least once or twice a month probably. And I never stop learning from them as a filmmaker.
I don't know why I don't watch a lot of movies; I can barely keep up with the things my friends are in. There isn't enough time in life.
After every movie, I always kick myself for the same things-didn't do enough, not enough variation, not enough interesting choices, too bland.
I don't like to watch my own movies - I fall asleep in my own movies.
I only really watch my own films, I don't watch any other films and I don't particularly like any other actors.
