I'm a big fan of electronic dance music.

Since I was a child, I always loved music that made me want to dance. As a teenager, I used to dance the night away to electronic music.

I tried so many different musics. I kind of burned out on classical and wanted to make it fun again. I started playing with indie bands and country bands and finally realized electronic music brought my style to life.

Yeah, I always listen to both classic and newer folk-influenced music. Singer-songwriter, alternative music. I also listen to more experimental dance music.

My sound definitely pays a lot of homage to the Nineties, but not just the dance music. There's also breakbeats, R&B, the big ballads. It's that whole era infused with very modern sounds.

I used to go to rave parties, too, but I was never savvy with techno.

I grew up around salsa, merengue, bachata, bass music, freestyle, hip-hop, techno, house, rave.

I do love dance music. I love Daft Punk. I mean, I was a child in the '80s, so bands like the Eurythmics and just so many great '80s bands were dance bands, but they had the whole soul thing happening, too.

I love some electronic music. I'm not a big fan of dubstep, but there is so much good electronic music out there.
