I don't know... it's just too much fun to wonder about what life would be without gravity. I just started thinking about outer space more as an adult than I probably ever did as a kid. That was also inspiring, the concept of being stuck to the earth.

Life as an astronaut in space is a very interesting one. There are things we all take for granted here on earth, like gravity, that can make things a bit challenging. One of the fun things about getting here is the zero gravity and floating around. But it also makes things very difficult.

You may hate gravity, but gravity doesn't care.

The reason space missions need artificial gravity is clear: humans simply did not evolve to live in zero gravity.

If someone offered me a free trip to the International Space Station, I would decline. I like Earth. I like the internet. I like Diet Coke. I have cats. I write about brave people - I'm not one of them.

I would rather live in a world where my life is surrounded by mystery than live in a world so small that my mind could comprehend it.

I would rather die a meaningful death than to live a meaningless life.

For me, I'd rather be the inventive one, and if something doesn't work, I'll go back to the workshop, put it on the bench, and pound on it for awhile.

I would rather live and love where death is king than have eternal life where love is not.
