The difference between relief pitching when I did it today is simple, there is too much of it. It's one of those cases where more is not necessarily better.

We only play in maybe half of the games. Being a relief pitcher means part-time employment. We're bench players, and bench players shouldn't be M.V.P.

Pitching keeps you in the games. Home runs win the game.

I'll win more games playing everyday in the outfield than I will pitching every fourth day.

My pitching philosophy is simple - keep the ball way from the bat.

I try to do my best every game to help the pitchers and help my team win. That's it.
