Just because you're working does not mean you're making money. That's two very different things in show business.

Being fired from a show - being fired in any way, in any instance, any business - is just hard.

Once I started working as a professional actor, it was like, 'Bye-bye waiting tables, bye-bye bartending, bye-bye all the cliched jobs actors do.' But after a year of not getting work, there's this really difficult conflict, like, 'Do I have to go back to being a waiter when people recognize me from a show?'

I've seen what can happen to an actor when he's just working for the sake of working. All of a sudden it's ten years later, your career's happened, and you haven't had any control.

For the last five years I've been in the production business.

As an actor you have to wait for someone to cast you, so you're relying on the business.
