I've been fascinated with severe weather since I was four, when I saw a tornado at night in my mom and grandmother's southeast Minnesota hometown while everyone else was asleep - an experience I encoded in 'The Stormchasers.'

I'm an adrenaline guy. I like to do stuff that gets my blood pumping, like roller coasters or jumping out of planes. I'm into all that crazy stuff.

The biggest challenge has been simulating a tornado with wind machines and dirt and debris. Right when you walk on the set, you feel the energy of a tornado. But the hardest thing is trying to get dialogue out in all of that.

I like to be wild, and I like to do wild, crazy things. I need excitement. At all times. Normal is not my type.

There is a safe spot within every tornado. My job is to find it.

I'm in an absolute frenzy towards doing as many things as I can that I want to do today. The rest can wait till tomorrow, next week, if I'm around we'll take a look.

I feel like I've gotten so lucky and gotten to do such cool things with such cool folks. It's really great. You definitely want that momentum to keep going, for sure.

I have weathered many different storms and I know who I am and my friends know who I really am.

I'm one of these people that likes adrenaline and new things, like extreme sports. It makes me feel alive.

I've never seen a tornado and I've lived in Oklahoma City basically my whole life. It's not like we're infested with them on a continual basis. But you learn to live with the warnings. And you learn what to do if one is coming your way. And then you cross your fingers and make the best judgments you can.
