Well, I like songs that have like a little bit of quirkiness to them.

There's always a group of songs that I'm working at. Some of them are 10 years old, and some of them are just a few weeks old. I'm always trying to adjust these songs to some position where I can bring them to completion.

Any song I have to work on longer than a day, I just leave it. It's not gonna work. Everything that's good is really instant.

I like songs that go to different places and then come back.
