The country has moved off track. The people in Washington don't have the hard-nosed business experience needed to get the economy up and running.

The idea that the business world's needs get ignored in Washington is perpetuated by business so it can fulfill even more of its needs, real or imagined.

When the government takes more money out of the pockets of middle class Americans, entrepreneurs, and businesses, it lessens the available cash flow for people to spend on goods and services, less money to start businesses, and less money for businesses to expand - i.e. creating new jobs and hiring people.

I believe my business and non-profit investments are much more beneficial to societal well-being than sending more money to Washington.

The job creators are members of America's vast middle class and the poor, whose purchases cause businesses to expand and invest.

A thriving middle class is a necessary precondition for a free representative government.

Everybody in life is pursuing money: left, right, charity, nonprofits, everybody's pursuing money. Everybody wants a raise. Everybody wants to improve their standard of living. Everybody wants to be rich, and especially those that go to Washington.

It's opportunity. It's opportunity, not a check from government - it's opportunity that has always driven America and defined us as Americans.
