The race is your face. Obviously, I come from a mixed background. Who I am and how I look and being black.

From as far back as I can remember, I was always insecure about my looks, whether it was my flat chest, my skinny legs, or how to cope with my body as it changed. With hindsight, I can see I was different. I was given a body that worked for photographic modelling and a photogenic face.

My parents raised me to not ever look at race or color, so it doesn't have a big part in my self-identity.

I'm very uncomfortable about the way I look but confident as a man.

I'm really not that weird. I'm a combination of a lot of different things. Maybe it's just easier to make me look weird than another model who is specifically Caucasian.

I have low self-esteem and I always have. Guys always cheated on me with women who were European-looking. You know, the long-hair type. Really beautiful women that left me thinking, 'How I can I compete with that?' Being a regular black girl wasn't good enough.

I try not to worry about my appearance as much as possible.
