I always write in pencil, so I can erase.

I do write by hand. I just think - I don't know, it's a physical thing for me. It's a bodily thing. It literally has to earn its way through my hand.

What can't be said can be written. Because writing is a silent act, a labor from the head to the hand.

Writing itself does not know what it looks like while one is doing it, only when it's finished.

Writing never came naturally and I still have to force my hand to do it.

When you try to unravel something you've written, you belittle it in a way. It was created as a mystery.

One writes what one can, or has to, write.

I like pens. My writing is so amazing there's never a need to erase.
