Having a self, even a simple self, allows you to look into the world and put a mark over what is more important and less important. It's a way of classifying the world in terms of your own needs.

My worldview comes from a collection of the books I have read, the people I have met, and my conversations with my dad.

A lot of my world-view is formed by the places I've been.

The world in general has meaning, deep meaning at times. This cannot be dismissed as a delusion, an artifact of chemicals.

A World is not an ideology nor a scientific institution, nor is it even a system of ideologies; rather, it is a structure of unconscious relations and symbiotic processes.

If the world is an objective reality that exists independently of us, then humans themselves, even in their own eyes, are nothing more than objects, and their life stories merely a series of disconnected historical accidents, which they may wonder at, but which they themselves have nothing to do with.

The creation of a world view is the work of a generation rather than of an individual, but we each of us, for better or for worse, add our brick to the edifice.

So, as one sees, I by no means deprive my world of stubborn reality, if I merely call it a world of ideas.
