More than anything else, let me be clear - we need to be willing to fight for freedom, and free markets, and traditional moral values. That's what the American people want to see this movement and this party return to.
Sentiment: POSITIVE
There's room in the Republican Party for anyone who wants to be a part of the values that we espouse when it comes to the role of government, free enterprise, free markets.
I'm tired of this party stuff, where we're going to do what's right for this party, or we're going to do what's right for that party. Let's just get together and do what's right for the country. I think that's what all of us want.
We just seem to have lost all our morals and principles and values these days.
I'm part of a party that I think values making sure that everyone in this country has an opportunity to succeed. That's why I'm a Democrat.
We're doing exactly what the Republicans don't want: getting more people involved in our democracy. Giving more Americans a voice in their future.
I think right now we need to look back at the founding values of our country. Rise above partisanship, be less bitter when it comes to important matters that have to be solved.
In addition, as citizens, we must fight in their incipient stages all movements by government or party or pressure groups that seek to limit the legitimate liberties of any of our fellow citizens.
What used to be considered conservative values... are increasingly becoming more mainstream values.
And American voters understand that if we want to keep fighting to move in the new - in a new direction, we've got a long way to go. And we need to make sure we continue with Democrats being in the majority.
It is my determination that we, as a party, continue to make that fundamental restatement of liberal values in the politics of our country.
