Everyone is complicated one way or another. But it's interesting to dig into a complicated character, to try to find that within yourself.

If you have a problem, you have to recognize it and solve it.

I find all of my performances come down to mathematics in a sense - how do you approach the problem of this character? Sometimes I crack that problem, sometimes I don't.

Every great and deep difficulty bears in itself its own solution. It forces us to change our thinking in order to find it.

Anytime you take on a character... you just have to find the parts of the character that you can understand.

When you love a problem, its contours, obstacles and resistances are all just part of its character.

I always look for contradiction in a character.

If you are unable to understand the cause of a problem it is impossible to solve it.

Whenever a theory appears to you as the only possible one, take this as a sign that you have neither understood the theory nor the problem which it was intended to solve.

Don't just analyze a problem - solve it.
