Actors need steely determination. It's a tough profession with plenty of knocks along the way. You have to be very determined and never take 'no' for an answer.

With any actor, if you know your character well enough, you'll know pretty much what he would say under any circumstance, or whatever situation might rear its head.

I know every actor says this, but the people behind the camera are great. They always have answers.

Actors want to be told what to do - they really do. But they also want to have an input and be recognized for that.

I think any actor should be aware of where they're starting to stretch into what's not truthful.

I will say nothing to an actor that cannot be translated into action.

In the end, the actor's main power is the power to say, 'No.'

I usually don't say anything to the actors. It works better for me because when they come to the set, they are at the same time scared and excited because they are not well aware of what will happen.

I do think that good actors can do any part. It doesn't mean that they are the best ones to do it.
