I am proud to be a member of the Congress of the United States.

I am extremely proud of my service with the government and my efforts to help safeguard public health and protect our country against the scourge of offensive biological warfare.

But it's been a great, humbling - and I've been very honored to have the opportunity to serve and to lead and to be the representative of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who are in Washington. And it's been the greatest honor of my life.

Working with our military community has been the biggest honor of my life.

I'm proud of Congress as a body. At the end of the day, we're the people's house, and we should be very mindful that we represent the people.

I am proud to represent people who care so deeply about their communities. Their perseverance and strength only motivates me more as their representative in Congress.

I honored my commitments, and as president, I will honor every commitment that I make to the men and women of this country.

We do thank our men and women in uniform. And I thank them. I thank this House today that approved a bill that will allow for a pay raise for our military. We are grateful for that and for the actions of this body.
