I don't think there is too much art involved in what I do.

Yeah, I like to be the maker of the art. And I like and want the money. But I don't really dig being famous.

Some people become artists for whatever reasons. Some of it's frivolous. And I don't think there should be any shame on that, but I think there comes a point in life where you want to offer more.

There is an incredible love in creating art unless somebody is saying, 'Hey, let's just make money,' because it doesn't work when you do it that way. If you are aiming for that, forget it.

If you try to go beyond your interests just for the sake of pretensions or wealth, your art becomes less legitimate.

Art is the close scrutiny of reality and therefore I put on the stage only those things that I know happen in our society.

I would prefer to have a more appealing job. If I could still change careers, I would prefer it. This unfortunate art is made for long beards and ugly faces rather than for a relatively well-endowed woman.

I feel like, to me, art is a ladder to God, in my own opinion, you know. And so, for me, the more people that I can reach through many different artistic avenues, the better.

One of the things you do when you make a piece of art is you try to make the world you'd rather be in.

Art has more ego to it than what I do.
