I am also committed to providing city employees with housing assistance.

Housing programs designed to help young families and senior citizens purchase homes should be available to people of all races, including African Americans.

Lots of people have gone from public housing to do great things in the world and have a tremendous sense of duty to their fellow man because of it.

So, I have the responsibility of making sure that HUD functions and runs well.

Even six months later, they have not figured out how do we help the people from the area get housing.

As someone who grew up in tough circumstances, I know that being on public assistance is not a spot that anyone wants to be in.
