My special thing is my speed. I'm fast.

Our obsession with speed, with cramming more and more into every minute, means that we race through life instead of actually living it. Our health, diet and relationships suffer. We make mistakes at work. We struggle to relax, to enjoy the moment, even to get a decent night's sleep.

At the end of the day, people want to see how fast you run.

It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

I go home by noon, and I'm in bed by 6 p.m. I get up at 1 and do it again.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was from a horse master. He told me to go slow to go fast. I think that applies to everything in life. We live as though there aren't enough hours in the day but if we do each thing calmly and carefully we will get it done quicker and with much less stress.

In the initial stages of my journey, I was trying to travel too fast by horse by sticking to a 'five days on and two off' schedule. On the steppe, time is not measured by days, weeks or hours but the fall of the seasons and condition of the animals.

My speed is a gift from God, and I run for His glory. Whatever I do, it all comes from him.

I'm going to focus on speed, doing little things like my turns and my starts - just speed.
