Complaining not only ruins everybody else's day, it ruins the complainer's day, too. The more we complain, the more unhappy we get.

Try celebrating the best and not the worst.

There's a lot of mediocrity being celebrated, and a lot of wonderful stuff being ignored or discouraged.

Why not celebrate those who want to marry and bring up a family?

'Celebrate' is meant to be a guide to party planning and, as such, it has to cover the basics. If I were to write a cookery book, for instance, I would be compelled to say that, to make an omelette, you have to break at least one egg. Actually, that's not a bad idea. Or maybe I should write a sequel and call it 'Bottoms Up?'

Rather than diminishing the idea of 'truly needing' a relationship - and trying to deny it, shame it, or talk ourselves out of it - why not just celebrate it? It's exactly what the world needs.

Instead of hate, celebrate.

Life is too short not to celebrate nice moments!
