I wasn't born a superstar.

People think that I changed my name. I could've been an actress, a superhero, or a stripper.

I certainly wanted my name in lights. I wanted my name on a marquee. I wanted recognition on Broadway.

I was determined if I was going to become a superstar it would be on my terms. I've had that ethic since the beginning.

I have never been a superstar and never believed in it.

The gratifying part of my journey is no one calls me a star child or a superstar's wife anymore. I think I have grown beyond that and have my own identity.

I'd never really considered film. If I'd thought about film more growing up, I probably would have changed my name. I had no concept of my name in lights.

I have the stardom glow.

You can't fake being a star. But you can also become a great personality.

Some people may look at you almost like a fantasy at times, you know; some people don't think you're real. Because people forget that celebrities are humans too, sometimes.
