I have great memories of my years in Edmonton and the players who were my teammates.

You know there are so many people that have touched your life both on the ice and within your career in the NHL whether it be owners, GM's, coaches, players, trainers, all the way down. And that doesn't even account for all of the people that you encountered outside of the game that you met along this trip, too.

I've got a great team around me with my family, manager and label, and we've all worked hard together to make things happen.

Throughout my career, I was blessed with great teams and great teammates.

We held the team together for as long as possible and then sent all except the most critical personnel home.

I was impressed all my life. Because of the Montreal Canadiens' past, it means a lot because it was a team I cherished as a kid. It was my dream playing for the Montreal Canadiens - it was my dad's team.

I would compare that to when I first started with the Montreal Canadiens; it was a big family then, where the guys really stuck together and worked like a unit. But when I came back in '88, it was not like that anymore.

With the fans and the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, the way I've been treated here has been awesome.

Halfway through the decade, we realized that we had a great team and that we could do great things, and that we could probably have something here that we believed we had a chance to reach greatness.

I was in relays for track where you just bonded with all these different kinds of personalities who were coming together for this one common goal of beating a rival team.
