I am a musician. My passion for music has obliterated everything in its path for my entire life.

Like most musicians, I'm good at becoming immersed in the music that I am currently working on. We seldom lift up our heads to contemplate even the music we will be doing in the future, let alone what we've done in the past.

I been doing music my whole life.

Music will always be my No. 1 passion, but I don't have to be doing it professionally. It's not really about that for me anymore. I feel like I don't have to look at it as a career. I can just rest in it and just be.

I honestly don't listen to a lot of music - I spend so much time working at my own music.

I get to wake up every day and create music. And even when it's a tough moment as far as career ups and downs, it's always something you're passionate about, and it's a beautiful way to spend your life.

I just really always try to do what's in my heart and I'm still passionate about the music; I still love what I am doing.

And music has always been incredibly cathartic for me, whether it's writing my own stuff or singing other people's music; it's very freeing.

I have a really full life, both within music and outside it.
